For example, if you were a cook with a catering service and you saw a cooking blog with a great recipe, you might provide a link for the recipe on your website, which would allow your readers would go see it. That page you referred them to is called a deep page, because it is deeper in the hierarchy than the homepage, and it features some valuable content that search engines prioritize when they determine what sites are best for people's results.
