Toddler Tantrum, What Do You Do?

I witnessed an interesting event yesterday. I was shopping at my local shopping centre and there was an amazing high-pitched scream. I turned around to find a little boy lying on the floor screaming at the top of his lungs. With his face bright red and tears streaming down his face I thought he must have injured himself. Rapidly I looked around for his mother to make sure he had assistance. I caught a glimpse of her, she was standing, stony faced just looking at him. For a split second I thought she must have been frozen by the trauma, paralysed by fear, then I realised the toddler was having a tantrum.
