Plants also soak up carbon dioxide, waste products, contribute oxygen to the water, and promote the growth of algae, tiny worms, rotifers, and protozoa, providing live food for the fish.

The Tremendous Water Power Of A Tsunami

It is not very likely that the majority of us will ever experience what it is like to live through a powerful tsunami like those poor souls who did back in 2004. This is one of the most powerful tsunamis ever recorded in history and it destroyed so many lives as well as left millions homeless with no where to go. This horrible hazard delivered by Mother Nature has to be one of the worst disasters that the modern world has ever seen and what we did see was absolutely unbelievable.

What Makes Floods So Dangerous And How To Avoid The Dangers

Floods are one of the worst things to go through because it will cause so much damage. When you have a really bad storm it can cause a flood in your city or town. It will flood your streets, knock down your homes, drag your cars, and tear down the light pole. If you get caught in the middle of the flood, you will not be able to get out yourself. If you try, it can or will kill you. Firefighters have to get you out before you drown due to the car taking in water or before it drags you away.

Fire is one of the most destructive forces of nature. It knows no limits when it is raging out of control and it mindlessly destroys almost anything in its path. Homes, people, businesses, forests, and wildlife are all at risk if they are any where near a fire that is raging out of control. As humans we always try to contain fires so that the damage they cause is kept to a bare minimum when possible, but throughout history there have been numerous fires that could not be controlled and destroyed entire cities.

There is hardly any kind of body of water that people do not use for their enjoyment or in making a living somehow. Even the smallest of creeks and streams can be used to swim or wade in during the hot summer months. The rivers of our country are filled with boaters, swimmers, skiers, and fishermen. Our coast lines are also filled with people enjoying various activities all year long where the climate allows in states like California and Florida.

When Nature Brings Floodwater

When you have a lot of rain like you might be having now, do you find yourself asking when is it ever going to stop? Have you ever been told as a child that when it rains the angels in heaven are crying? If this is the case, do you not think that these angels should be running out of tears? In some places you have had a lot more rainfall than others. Your ground might already be saturated which means that your soil can not hold anymore water. When this happens you could end up with floodwater.
