Patch panels are used the world over in businesses as a means of managing computer and phone networks. Fundamentally patch panels hold network ports, that all connect together. The Network Time Protocol is a standard means of disseminating accurate time around the Internet and other computer networks. Accurate time stamps are passed from a time server to clients for synchronisation. A stratum 1 NTP server is a device that obtains precise time from an external reference clock and provides networks with a NTP resource for synchronisation purposes. This article attempts to describe simply the advantages and disadvantages of various GPS and radio time references and how they can be utilised for computer timing.

It still amazes me the amount of people who still do not set up encryption on their wireless networks. By simply looking at view available wireless networks on your laptop you can see what wireless networks are available in your local area. This will also tell you which ones are secure and which ones are not. Setting up encryption on your router is key but also a very simple thing to do.

For those who really do not know about computer routers, a router is something that enables a computer to connect with another computer. It also can allow a network to connect with another entire network. Most companies and offices have computer routers set up, as they are needed in order to perform their computer tasks properly.
