Variable System Technology Of VXA Tape Format

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Innovative and advantageous features are included in the VXA tape technology. A new system for error correction has been introduced in the VXA tape format that consists of four levels and is implemented in two phases. First of all Reed-Solomon ECC is included in each packet which removes the small errors. These small errors are normally generated by the phase shifts or noise. Afterwards the buffer segment collects all these packets. Then a matrix is formed and Reed-Solomon three dimensional ECC is employed. The three dimensional consists of Y-axis, Diagonal and X-axis ECC.

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

Hard Drive is commonly referred as a Hard Disk which is non-volatile storage device and is used to upgrade the already available storage capacity of the laptop or notepad. Notebook Hard Drive stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces in a Notebook. Some of the examples of Hard Drives are floppy drives or floppy disks but they were detachable, one had to insert them to collect or enter the data, still there is one benefit using a floppy disk as the user was free to carry the data easily without some extra effort, but he could use that only on a computer if was able to find one. But, as technology got advanced these drives are sealed in a computer which is not that easy to carry instead one can now carry the whole computer instead of just carrying the data. These hard drives not only perform general activities but are also very efficient in carrying out activities like video and audio functions. They are small compared to other large PC's also with less capacity. Mobile HDD spins at 5,400 rpm, with 7,200 rpm models are some of the examples of Notebook hard drives.
